 I used to feed my dogs Pedigree and Purina dry dog food. I was disgusted by the smell because it reminded me of feces.

 Recently, I learned that most commercial dog food has the remains of scooped up roadkill and euthanized dogs and cats from the dog pounds. The poison used to euthanize the animals is still present in the dog food, therefore slowly poisoning our pets, giving them a much shorter life.  Ol Roy dog food from Walmart is supposed to be one of the worst culprits.   

The bi-directional ceramic link bezel insert is black but is half polished and half micro-blasted. This makes it appear as two different colors with the appearance of each half changing depending link on the light link and angle. It's a cool effect I didn't appreciate in the initial renders of the Zulu Time. The white numerals feel a bit mismatched against the dial's gilt accents leaving the watch caught between its heritage inspiration and modern execution.
