I believe the correct spelling is Clamydia(or Chlamydia?). This is a sexually transmitted infection and should be diagnosed and treated with antibiotics as soon as the patient suspects he or she has it. The infection affects the fallopian tubes and ovaries if left untreated.Females can pass the infection on to their male or female partners. If left untreated this can lead to infertility. there are sometimes no obvious symptoms so if you or anyone has had unprotected sex with someone you think or know is promiscuous go to a clinic and be tested. Also the fact there are often no symptoms means it may not be your current partner you got it off but if you found out you have it you would need to tell him/her so he/she can also be treated.
