If the automobile glass is not coated with a UV protectant, yes.

    On regular glass:

UV B rays do not pass through glass but the sun can still burn your skin.

UV A rays do pass through glass. These rays are dangerous because though they do not bur you, they can still damage your skin and without the burn you do not know your skin is being affected

when I was little, my mom used to tell me I couldn't get a suntan thru the car windows. She used to read alot, and was a walking encyclopedia

"Yes but if it is coated "No
