    Are there any companies that help pay utility bills to avoid shutoff in NJ?

    Sad that life comes to this .Better get busy ,first ask the utility company if they have a program for you . See if you qualify for anything they have . Next question is do they work with any out side agencys in cases like yours . Go the welfare office and talk with the people who are applying for welfare they will know away to cut through the red tape . Dont waste any time here unless you have a good short cut through the system. Ask your questions take notes write it down then get out of there and get busy .There are agencys for help but fact is you need to start passing the hat and get a partial payment while you look for help.
