These are in existance . Check Google for air craft parachutes they are currently standard equipment on all Cirrus aircraft. I am a pilot and this looks interesting to me ,so many factors such as max speed at deployment where its attached ,how its attached how much it weighs . how much it slows the decent down . This is fact not fiction !!!! Bill
