You haven't said what system you are using, when you set up Firefox, Google Chrome etc. there are instructions under the "Getting Started" heading that will help you set up a home page. If you choose some sites like AOL, at the top of the page it will ask if you want to make that page your homepage and give you a drop down box to make it permanent.
