      If you're seeing freon, then your a/c is leaking. Take it to a good repair shop. You probably have a pinhole in one of your lines. They will pump a colored agent into your lines to see which one is leaking.

          You bought a Taurus that was your first mistake.
          Ford made a few brummies and Taurus is up there with best of them, but your only consideraton is to take it to a Auto Airconditioning Specialist as suggested.
