my husband just sprinkles it all over his tomato plants (He gets the powder form).  No measuring, no mess.   Use once a week.

I dont drink or eat Carbaryl.

What do you use instead? Dish Soap?

2Tbs dish soap, 2Tbs ammonia, 2 cups soaked tobacco liquid, 3-6 shakes tobasco, 1 or 2 tps baking soda, 1/2 to 1 tsp salt mixed with a gallon of water. a least a week between doses, but probably only need to spray them 2-3 times before critters are all dead.

I use a good 32oz hand spray bottle and bend the plant over and spray the underside of the leaves
