this is nothing new. A doctor in my town did this in the 50s. It was a little controversial , but I don't think it was illegal. He delivered babies by hypnotizing the mother.......so she was more relaxed and didn't' feel as much pain. That was back in the days when they'd knock out a birthing mother with ether, which probably wasn't too good for the babies. Maybe that's what's wrong with me now. Hahahah.. The gave my mom ether for when by bro was born; and when I was born.
Ether used to make people vomit when they'd come to. And when they came home they smelled like either for days.
