Elaine Collins

57 year old Elaine was an actress for twenty-five years before joining the BBC in 2004 as Development Assistant. She went on to work freelance for Laura Mackie at ITV before joining David Reynolds as Development Executive at Yorkshire Television. She subsequently became Books Executive at ITV Studios for Kate Bartlett where she picked up, and developed, Ann Cleeves’ Vera Stanhope novels. As producer, and latterly Executive Producer, Elaine had six series of Vera commissioned for ITV1. She has since developed and Executive Produced Shetland for BBC One, currently on its third series.
