    I have a 2000 Ford Windstar,I have to cycle the fuel pump 2 or three times to start, whats wrong with it

    I have replaced the fuel pump but not the module in tank.

    air getting in so fuel goes back to the tank when you turn it off and gas is getting out if so. check all of the fuel line for leaks. filter may be clogged. lose hose clamps. cracked hoses or hard lines. history of DETERIORATING fuel lines on that model. burning to the ground. be careful.

    It seems that you could be drawing air into the system, Check the fuel feedline to the pump for leaks.
