    What causes a periodic jolt of pain in one's knee?

    Is it a pinched nerve?  What causes it?

    Ellsee, I guess I threw you off for a minute huh?  Sorry about that.  Some of us seem to have a sick sense of humor at times (me included).  We really do try to help.  WebMD is a good site for so many medical questions.  I had my right knee replaced so I feel for ya.  Thanks for the TU, TD, & TU  LOL R/Yvonne

    Could be from the same person causing the pain in your azz. But, it is probably a major or minor tear in your cartilage, speshly if it only happens when climbing or going down stairs.
