      Backterial or viral infection see your physician.Usually eye drops should work.

        Not  sure about a pink bit,but if you have some soreness and it looks a bit pink it may be an infection like conjuctivitus.

               Do you mean the pink area at the inside corner of the eye, near the nose?  That's where the tear ducts are.
