    To lose value due to age or damage. "The value of the car depreciated (note correct spelling)greatly after the accident"
    "whilst the chair was still in good condition its value depreciated due to its` age"

    "That dang-dog just deprecated the value of my new couch!"

    Use the word "deprecated", not "depreciated."  The questioner spelled "deprecated" correctly. 


    To deprecate is "to express earnest disapproval of."
