When planting anything (flowers, bushes, etc.) a plant will go into shock - from being pulled out of a pot and stuck in the ground. You must water, water, water and feed fertilizer. If the sun is hot and the plant is out in the sun all day, give it an umbrella or something to protect it from the sun during the hottest part of the day. The shock will eventually wear off, but you need to take special care of the plant until then.
