There are only twenty states that allow corporal punishment at school and I believe the are all in the south. My guess is that California was among the first to put an end to corporal punishment at school and then went further by intruding into the homes. In my opinion, California has some of the worst problems in the school and in the home. Children that can call 911 and report a parent, teacher or any other adult and claim they were abused. A child can be taken from the home or a parent can be forced out of his/her home solely based on the word of a child, with no marks. You don't dare spank your own child in California, unless you have developed a relationship of love and trust, and they know that you love them and that they need a little discipline.
I have a two year old and an eight year old. A few years ago when my son was around five, I remember so many times he would have confusion on his face and ask, "dad is that a boy-girl?" Not because of a girl wearing pants or a boy wearing a skirt. It was because of a boy looking feminine or a girl looking masculine. I'm not talking about ones natural looks, but boys wearing those girly pants and make up, and girls dressing like male looking gangsters. I've got to admit I've checked out what appeared to be a nice body (female in my mind), then upon second glance feel ashamed that I didn't automatically no it was a male.
I'm sure that there are a lot of synonyms for judging that are all negative; condemning for example. The Bible says that we are not to judge others, only God is judge.
Discernment is different. As bigben said we need to evaluate. Every decision we make in life requires discernment, although not all have the ability of good discernment.
No. I think they will become stronger. I'm not saying I want them to become stronger, I just think they will. You go to a "right to work state" like Utah and the only people that are making a comfortable living are governmental employees (not all of them) or employers. Almost everyone else is making minimum wage or just above. I would rather see more governmental regulation (I know the government is almost as corrupt), then dependence on a union, to compel employers to pay a descent wage. Unfortunately, greed and corruption is rampant.

Republicans would like to see austerity for all middle and lower class citizens. They won't be happy until there is a revolution under their own watch.
I think our prison system in America needs to be tougher on convicts. They should only be eligible for emergency health care, like pulling a rotten tooth. They should have hard labor, no t.v., no computer, no risque material to view, plain diet-beans and rice, things like that. This would bring costs down and make prison a place that people don't want to go. I've heard of illegals coming here just so they could commit a crime and do time here. That said, I don't believe in the death penalty. It's not cost effective and I think all criminals should be made to work to pay for their crimes.
Basically it was based upon law and obedience, with the earthly temple and its services, which included sacrificing animals according to disobedience. These services were perpetual as a log was kept of sins, which were finally removed yearly on the day of atonement. I don't know how much you know already or how much more you want to know, if you want to get specific ask away.
I don't know of an agency, but I know where we are headed.
Christine O’Donnell isn’t the only Delaware Tea Party candidate making waves. The seat in the House of Representatives currently held by Republican Mike Castle — who was defeated by O’Donnell in Tuesday’s Senatorial primary — is also up for grabs. The Republican primary for that office was won by Tea Partier Glen Urquhart, and it turns out that his political positions may be even more unique than O’Donnell’s. “Do you know, where does this phrase ’separation of church and state’ come from?” Urquhart asked at a campaign event last April. “It was not in Jefferson’s letter to the Danbury Baptists. … The exact phrase ’separation of Church and State’ came out of Adolph Hitler’s mouth, that’s where it comes from. So the next time your liberal friends talk about the separation of Church and State ask them why they’re Nazis.”
PBS Children's Network? Nickelodeon? Mickey Mouse Clubhouse? Many others. There are some very bright kids out there.
