we have had the Maytag Neptune washer and dryer for many years and the washing machine has gotten louder and louder on spin.....I am guessing that the main bearing is going?

fyi, whirlpool bought maytag in 2006. maytag was a terrible machine (washers,dryers,fridges,stoves) between 1992 and 2006

throw it out and get a direct drive whirlpool made washer. best washer if you only want it to wash clothes. very affordable and very inexpensive repairs. all this and it washes your clothes. 500.00 or less. your welcome
