Depends on the State your in, on Texas if you get sent home (possibly disciplinary) they must pay you the remaining hours owed. Now if they asked you to leave to cut payroll due to slow business and you went voluntarily that's different, they would not have to pay you.

Freedom of speech...as far as jokes...I'm Irish and there are plenty of jokes about us...so get over your self and stop making everything people say all about "you". We all love a good joke that's why we have soooo many stand up comedians. as far as Race it depends on whos saying what...if a black says something about a "honky", "Cracker", etc. is all fun and games, if a white person says something about a "Spook" or use the "n" word it's throw the race cards out. Same the about Mexicans, they talk about whites all the time, bad thing is most you can't even understand because they choose to talk in front you "behind your back" so to speak.
