    If you are at work and are sent home by your employer are they required to pay you for the whole day

      in ny you have to work at least 4 hours to receive full days pay .

        Depends on the State your in, on Texas if you get sent home (possibly disciplinary) they must pay you the remaining hours owed.
        Now if they asked you to leave to cut payroll due to slow business and you went voluntarily that's different, they would not have to pay you.
