I have a problem with my wallpaper setting: When I set a picture as wallpaper, it resets after afew minutes and the background remains black with icons only. How can I fix this problem?

I still can be able to set my wallpaper to stay for long time. I have to keeep on setting it and after a few minutes, it resets and the screen becomes black with icons only. what do I do?
