I am a volunteer working in Uganda, get UK pension, is there a double treaty to release me from paying tax in Uganda on any donstions I receive
Answers: 1 Views: 453 Rating: 0 Posted: 12 years ago

All pensioners receiving a pension, will have to pay tax if they continue working. However if you are working overseas, then any tax you are being stopped from your wage, may be liable to a refund from HMRC. This you can find out once you return to the uk.

You also have to bear in mind that you are a foreigner and are therefore liable to any rules that are set in that country. Thank god that IDI AMIN wasnt there, or you could pay with your life..remember what he did to all the asians that were deported with only the clothes they stood up in, and had to flee and leave all their worldly goods behind..thank god this evil bastard is dead..and i for one would not venture into that country, for any reason.

i explosive by min in the afghnistan and i ned to insurance plese helpe me
Answers: 1 Views: 481 Rating: 0 Posted: 12 years ago

you must contact your company, if you were an employee, they are liable for your safety. I am so sorry that you were injured doing a valuable job, and i wish you well. As i said it is your employer that is responsible for you, and you should contact them, or find a solicitor who can do it on your behalf. It depends on what you were employed as, what were the conditions you were acting under, whether you were employed by the company, or whether you wer employed as a `self employed`, and what documents you signed. you cannot claim for your injuries with another insurance company aftyer the injuries have happened.

I wish you all the luck in the world my dear friend.

Why are Sarkozy and Berlasconi conferring about Tunisian refugees; what do they fear?
Answers: 1 Views: 502 Rating: 0 Posted: 12 years ago
The refugees have been allowed into france by italy...france does not want these people on their land...so france has allowed them tpo travel to Calais..where they will obviously try and gain entry into the uk via dubious means..and then claim asylum here....we dont want them either...because our nation cannot keep supporting these people through our over generous benefits system, but the same applies to any foreign nationals. One example of our generosity was the asylum seeker who arrived on our shores with...wait for it....10 kids..( how and why was they allowed in..in the first place ) and given a huge mansion..the rent paid which is ?1500 a week..plus all the other benefits that goes with it...and they havnt paid one penny into the system...we are fed up with these scroungers... There are Poles who claim child benefit once they have worked a short while..then go home..and continue claiming till the kids are 16 with no further contact from the DSS.....then thereare the Africans who `borrow` other relatives kids in order to increase their child benefit..thats for life too...when will this madness end.....i am not against any refugee who wishes to run from persecution..but it has to end..we dont have a never ending pot of gold....i have just retired after working for the past 50 years, paying my tax and insurance..and these people earn more in a week than i get in a month..plus some of them live in better conditions than a lot of british born people..and thats just not fair..

Can an Iindividual rather than an estate agent place a for slale ad on the Right Move website?
Answers: 1 Views: 298 Rating: 0 Posted: 12 years ago
The short answer is NO..thats because you have to pay for this service on any estate agents website. You can advertise for free on GUMTREE any thing you like including Homes.. Hope this has been helpful...but you have to beware when putting your details on site and of course when `strangers` come to view your property...which is why it is much safer to use an estate agent where the clients are vetted..of course the downside is you have to pay a fee for this but it is of course much safer...which is what i am doing at the moment.

Are you for or against medical testing on animals?
Answers: 27 Views: 3521 Rating: 12 Posted: 13 years ago

True, we have learnt a great deal from using animals to test certain things, and a lot of people have benefited from that. I must admit that i never did like the animals used for the smoking project, and i have smoked for 50 yrs, and gained nothing. We still, have cancer, it has never been proved that smoking causes cancer only that its bad for your health, and of course there are people that have/had cancer and never smoked..so i dont dig that argument. The frightening thing in using animals is the fact that they feel pain like we do, and my mind is really not made up as to whether its a good or bad thing, i believe that we have a great deal more to learn in the medical field. and i have certainly gained a lot from that knowledge, how we continue to get it i dont know.

Separation and Divorce....2011.
Answers: 6 Views: 691 Rating: 0 Posted: 13 years ago

Sometimes a leopard does change its spots..If you have problems in your marriage, a councellor will tell you to have a chat, look at ways to change, and maybe he has been to seek advice, hence the changed behaviour. The second issue is the fact you state that you are now divorcing him for the second time, which tells me there have been problems in the past. I would also like to say that sometimes mums know best, and she has noticed his behaviour change, there could be a clue there..you have been seperated 15 months, and he has been Mr nice guy for 6 months, so that tells me you have been seeing each other for a while during the seperation..its your decision only, and you have to live with that ( or without it )..what i would advise is..Divorce, stay friends, see how it goes..but as you have had 2 bites of the cherry, i wouldnt hold out much hope...and i wish you all the luck in the world..
