Doubtful, I think lots of countries are suffering from poor leadership at a time the 'world economy' needs strong, clever, non-corrupt leaders. This includes uk, greece, ireland, france, italy (where the current president is being charged with inappropriate relationships with a minor!) and others.... if we stay in the hands of these people we are all doomed!
I think life is too short to be in a state of prolonged unhappiness.

You were not paid for work you had undertaken? I would consult a Citizen's Advice Bureau or similar, it sounds like you are victims of crime and perhaps you should report the matter to the police. This scam is most likely 'well rehearsed' and played out on many others!
Apparently brown rice is good food source for Thyroid.
One extremely effective method is to put big cat (eg Lion) poo in the garden. I live next to a wildlife park and able to source this wonderous stuff. I used to have this problem, now cats won't come anywhere near my garden!!
Coping with one is enough for me!
