What color is the belly, where it rested on the ground? I go with the closest to green, (or shades of yellow)meaning it's been sitting there growing longer, than, say, a melon with a white belly. Works in the store anyway.

Don't know about turkeys, but chickens are omnivorous...they eat anything. I've cleaned fish and thrown the entrails into them and they loved them. Also witnessed an unlucky mouse get henned. They pulled it in two directions, skinning it alive, then fought over the pieces.

Fish go quiet for periods of time. They don't close their eyes and I doubt they dream.
