The God dillemma

Religion is made to be confusing deliberately by the one who is the great Deceiver and liar Satan the Devil. He makes it confusing and argumentative on purpose because like most wicked people he knows he's going to be destroyed very shortly and he wants to take as many of us with him as he can. He wants to cause dissention, he does not want you to know the clear cut easy to follow direction that God gives us to find the truth that will save our life. He is the one who has caused us to loose our lives from the very beginning, with Adam and Eve; and his purpose has not changed. That is why out of love for us God sent his son to ransom us from the sentence of death and to restore all things according to his original purpose for mankind. The Bible is Gods rescue manual for all of us to study and to learn of his requirements for the opportunity to gain everlasting life and to live in a peaceful world where there is no longer war, food shortages, corruption, murder, death. At John 17:3 God tells us how to start using his Book and what the end result will be if we do.

Wealth in relation to religion

“Those who are determined to be rich fall into temptation and a snare.” —1 TIMOTHY 6:9. “Those who are determined to be rich fall into temptation and a snare and many senseless and hurtful desires, which plunge men into destruction and ruin.” (1 Timothy 6:9) What is behind that snare or the basis for it can be summed up in the word “greed.” Though greed is often evidenced by a determination to be rich, greed is really a snare with many facets. Christians who today strive to imitate Jesus also refuse to be distracted by the pursuit of wealth. (1 Timothy 6:9, 10) They acknowledge that riches can make life comfortable, but they know that wealth does nothing for their everlasting future. When a Christian dies, his material wealth is of no more value to him than Jesus’ garment was to him when he died. (Ecclesiastes 2:10, 11, 17-19; 7:12) When a Christian dies, the only thing of real value that he possesses is his relationship with Jehovah and with Jesus Christ.—Matthew 6:19-21; Luke 16:9.

The Sabbath. . . Saturday or Sunday?
Answers: 29 Views: 4561 Rating: 4 Posted: 13 years ago
AFTER being freed from Egyptian slavery, the Israelites were instructed to keep a weekly Sabbath. That Sabbath fell on the seventh day of the week, beginning at sundown on Friday and ending at sundown on Saturday. What was the purpose of the law requiring Sabbath observance? In the year 1513 B.C.E. the Israelites were on trek in the wilderness en route to Mount Sinai and were running out of food. So God provided manna for them for six consecutive days but none on the seventh. (Ex. 16:22-30) For the first time Jehovah made it a law for his people to rest on the seventh day. Moreover, it was an arrangement only for Israel: “Between me and the sons of Israel it is a sign to time indefinite.”—Ex. 31:16, 17. Again and again the Bible makes it clear that Christians are not under the Law, that it was ‘taken out of the way,’ nailed to Christ’s torture stake. “Therefore let no man judge you in eating and drinking or in respect of a festival . . . or of a sabbath.”—Col. 2:13-16. In the second century C.E.,the Roman emperor Constantine, anxious to favor the already corrupted Christianity of his day, made a law that Sunday should be observed. He insisted that the day was sacred to the sun. This was pagan, not Christian. Apostate Christendom today, with flagging zeal and varying views, still recognizes dies solis, the day of the sun! From a careful study of the Bible these important points clearly emerge: that if a day should be observed it would be Saturday, the seventh day; that the Sabbath law was only for ancient Israel; that it was never repeated or given to Christians (as was the law concerning sanctity of blood—Acts 15:19, 20); and that “Christ is the end of the Law,” including the Sabbath. (Rom. 10:4) Hence, for those “scrupulously observing days and months,” the apostle Paul wrote: “I fear for you, that somehow I have toiled to no purpose respecting you.”—Gal. 4:10, 11.

What Jehovah's Witnesses are all about?

Yes these people are in dire need of research skills. They say and believe anything anyone tells them without bothering to find out the facts. What a sad thing. Could it be due to laziness or just plain wanting to bask in ignorance?

Heaven or Hell?
Answers: 17 Views: 3459 Rating: 3 Posted: 13 years ago
The most famous person in entire world is alive and resides in heaven and that person is Jesus Christ. As far as hell is concerned there are many famous people in hell because hell is merely the common grave of mankind. Do some research for yourself and find out the real definition of hell. HELL A word used in the King James Version (as well as in the Catholic Douay Version and most older translations) to translate the Hebrew she?ohl? and the Greek hai?des. In the King James Version the word “hell” is rendered from she?ohl? 31 times and from hai?des 10 times. This version is not consistent, however, since she?ohl? is also translated 31 times “grave” and 3 times “pit.” In the Douay Version she?ohl? is rendered “hell” 64 times, “pit” once, and “death” once. It is, in fact, because of the way that the word “hell” is understood today that it is such an unsatisfactory translation of these original Bible words. Webster’s Third New International Dictionary, unabridged, under “Hell” says: “fr[om] . . . helan to conceal.” The word “hell” thus originally conveyed no thought of heat or torment but simply of a ‘covered over or concealed place.’ In the old English dialect the expression “helling potatoes” meant, not to roast them, but simply to place the potatoes in the ground or in a cellar.

What happens when you die?
Answers: 31 Views: 3645 Rating: 1 Posted: 12 years ago
Condition of Human Dead. The dead are shown to be “conscious of nothing at all” and the death state to be one of complete inactivity. (Ec 9:5, 10; Ps 146:4) Those dying are described as going into “the dust of death” (Ps 22:15), becoming “impotent in death.” (Pr 2:18; Isa 26:14) In death there is no mention of God or any praising of him. (Ps 6:5; Isa 38:18, 19) In both the Hebrew and the Greek Scriptures, death is likened to sleep, a fitting comparison not only because of the unconscious condition of the dead but also because of the hope of an awakening through the resurrection. (Ps 13:3; Joh 11:11-14) The resurrected Jesus is spoken of as “the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep in death.”—1Co 15:20, 21

You are right about some things you are saying, the Bible tells us that know one knows the day or the hour only the Father (God) knows, but he does give us certain signs to look for. These signs such as earthquakes and wars etc. have been occuring throughout the ages, but not to th same intensity as it is occuring today and they have these things have not occured ever before in the same short time frame as they are occuring today. It is a composite sign. While he was sitting upon the Mount of Olives, the disciples approached him privately, saying: “Tell us, When will these things be, and what will be the sign of your presence and of the conclusion of the system of things?” Matthew 24:3 “For nation will rise against nation and kingdom against kingdom, and there will be food shortages and earthquakes in one place after another. All these things are a beginning of pangs of distress. All these occurances ar taking place one right after the next without let up and we are seeing this now. In prophecy a day is at times used to stand for one year. This can be noted at Ezekiel 4:6: “You must lie upon your right side in the second case, and you must carry the error of the house of Judah forty days. A day for a year, a day for a year, is what I have given you.”—See also Nu 14:34. However, let this one fact not be escaping YOUR notice, beloved ones, that one day is with Jehovah as a thousand years and a thousand years as one day. 2 Peter 3:8
