The Watch I Wore Most In 2021 is a no-brainer – a 1963 Rolex Explorer ref. 1016. It has a glossy or gilt black dial, a 36mm diameter, and no date – in my opinion, it's one of the best wristwatches ever produced. While it is right there in the name, my pick for this week was not so much of a no-brainer. Yes, this link ref. 5700 is link from 1963, as well, but the similarities end there. This is a creamy white dial, 35mm, date Rolex link that is, in my opinion, the top wristwatch we are offering this week.
We looked at watches for hunting and fishing, biked across a glacier, and went off the grid with Jack. Suffice to say, we're all link pretty worn out. Yet another Heuer on eBay with tons of potential, this Camaro dates to the very end of the model's range, likely made in 1972. The ref. 73443T link notably has Monaco-esque hands and interestingly features an orange chronograph seconds hand, which has resulted in dealers and collectors calling it an "exotic" reference. Wearing this link watch was an exercise in self-discovery.
