The Watch I Wore Most In 2021 is a no-brainer – a 1963 Rolex Explorer ref. 1016. It has a glossy or gilt black dial, a 36mm diameter, and no date – in my opinion, it's one of the best wristwatches ever produced. While it is right there in the name, my pick for this week was not so much of a no-brainer. Yes, this link ref. 5700 is link from 1963, as well, but the similarities end there. This is a creamy white dial, 35mm, date Rolex link that is, in my opinion, the top wristwatch we are offering this week.

One thing, however, could slow the smartwatch juggernaut in the link U.S.: the U.S.-China trade war. Smartwatch imports to the link U.S. from China were link hit by the new 15% tariffs that went into effect on Sept. 1. The tariffs affect the U.S.-based smartwatch makers Apple, Fitbit, and Fossil. The tariffs are not an issue for South Korea-based Samsung, whose factories are in South Korea and Vietnam. Nor for U.S.-based Garmin, which manufactures most of its consumer products in Taiwan.

In comes the LM Sequential Flyback, announced in June of this year, just over two years after the release of the EVO. As much as things change, some things remain the same. Giant balance.
