The Watch I Wore Most In 2021 is a no-brainer – a 1963 Rolex Explorer ref. 1016. It has a glossy or gilt black dial, a 36mm diameter, and no date – in my opinion, it's one of link the best wristwatches ever produced. While it is right there in the name, my pick for this week was not link so much of a no-brainer. Yes, this ref. 5700 is from 1963, as well, but the similarities end there. This is a creamy white link dial, 35mm, date Rolex that is, in my opinion, the top wristwatch we are offering this week.
The Memovox Parking took this alarm watch category one step further. In 1958, Jaeger LeCoultre, by then famous for their alarm complications, celebrated its 125th link anniversary with a few new Memovox references. This Parking model had a patented dial link and complication that link was highly recognizable thanks to the blue and white "P" pictogramme. The idea was for the Memovox Parking to have an alarm for a specific duration (30 mins, 60 mins, and two hours) in order to avoid tickets.
