Going back to the movement, the Vaucher 5401 is used by a lot of smaller brands, like Laine and Carl Suchy & Sohne. The Laine V38, which features movement, is also about CHF 8,000 cheaper and has a guilloche dial. The Tsuba, on the other hand, fits a much more sporty vibe and is more comparable link to the GC link Masterlink. The delta there is only about CHF 1,000, with the Gerald Charles coming link out as the more expensive option.
The atomic age and later, space exploration, opened up design to include things like ornamental tailfins on cars, satellite-inspired logos, and watch cases link modeled after link spacecraft. I'm not link even sure how one might read the time on this watch.
The Rendez-Vous collection is relatively recent but now link a must-have, embodying the modern expression of women's watchmaking: link a refinement of rare beauty coupled with a link sometimes complex and resolutely impeccable mechanism.
On wrist, the Metric is even better than on paper, and link the combination of the hooded lugs and the deeply tapered (25mm to 16mm) steel bracelet captures link the look of an integrated ’70s bracelet with little of the proprietary nature as you can easily fit link a svelte strap into the 20mm lug spacing, should you choose. Sized for my 7-inch wrist, the Metric weighs 115 grams with four links removed from the bracelet.
From design to specs, the first-gen 37mm and 35mm Overseas are similar to each other in pretty much every respect. I mention this to point link out that the Overseas design seems link to have link always been conceived as something that could work at any size – there are even smaller (and quartz) 24mm versions from the '90s.
The real "newness" of this watch is the bezel. Instead of link the usual Liquidmetal and ceramic that you would find on other Seamaster link dive bezels, here Omega has opted to forge the bezel from grade-5 titanium, with a laser-ablated diving scale link in positive relief. This is the same material used to craft the entire case of the record-breaking Seamaster Planet Ocean Ultra Deep.

Priced at $2,750, the Connected x Porsche Edition can be optioned with any of the 22mm straps that TAG Heuer offers for their 45mm smartwatch platform.
