    "Since her mother had gone to college, "IT" was expected that Mary would also go there." In this sentece, is "IT" refered to a Subject pronoun or Object pronoun ? Becuase the sentence is passive voice... OR.,.. It's not about Pronouns??

    I am not sure but I'd guess it's subject pronoun. Try to rewrite the sentence: "It was expected that Mary would also go to college since her mother had gone to one." The word "it" is definitely not an object pronoun here.
