ole hipster, Australasia has never tipped for service like the rest of the planet, i don't know why but it has always been that way. when i went to the states, if the restaurant knew we were aussie's we always the last to be served cause we had a reputation of not tipping. it cheeses off all aussie's that travel. we only believe as i said in tipping if it is deserved.
depending on the service often time they'll factor in there own tips, if i happy with the service and they were cool as well as acomadating i would go as high as twenty five percent, it may sound like a lot but they put up with a lot , very few leave tips, besides comments like you need a new shower head.
