      This world is based on money. It takes money to get ahead. We can use money to do that. We should not use people to get ahead however. So, money ends up on top just because of that I think.

        Some people really do and it's sad that people value possessions and money over human life. I do believe that many people think that by having money it will bring them happiness.

        What some don't realize is that (it can't and won't work.) It does make life a little more fun though. Good question, thumbs up.

          Thanks Maz, I suppose what ever you value the most will become your idol, so to speak. If money is the most important thing in your life, eventually you will do anything to get it and to hold onto it.

          When I've had a lot of money, I've had a lot more friends. The times when money was scarce, let me put it like this; you really find out who your true friends are.

                    Who says they do? Life requires money to survive, it's a matter of practicality. You need money to take care of the people that you love and to be able to enjoy the people around you. I assume that you are going to do more than sit and stare at each other with adoration and compassion. Money is necessary for interaction with others and to exist in society.

                        Without money there is no "each other". love will keep you together for a while, remove all your assets for an extended period time and see how long the candle stays lit.

                          Well my first reaction was "Speak for youself jr2852" because I sure as hell do not put money ahead of people. If I had to choose between $1million and someones life I would take the life. Not literaly of course.

                              I know they say money don't bring happiness,i have to disagree with that.
                              Any money that is in my purse makes me very happy,i would be a lot sadder if i had none.
