terry, I meant to respond to you re: "women and the Bible" but I clicked on something else and then couldn't find it again. You are quoting a COMMENTARY ON the Bible. I'm saying where are THOSE WORDS IN the Bible? I've heard pastors make it sound better too. I've also heard pastors who make it sound like women are peons! Show me those words, chapter and verse. That's what I was looking for. Good luck. :)

I am a Christian by the way. I just don't buy all of it at times, especially the way women are (sometimes, not always) put down. I once knew a woman who became a Christian and was told that she must now give up her career. She was a nurse. That to me, is ludicrous. :(

I do not believe in religion Duck,,I do believe in the bible and God the father and Jesus the Son,,,I do believe in church,but only if they follow the bible..the bible may have its problems in translation,,but it is the closest we have ,of God trying to tell us what he wants,,<<<<<>>>>>>..always nice talking Duck

Exactly! The Bible...not church. That's why I asked you where those words are IN the Bible...not someone's COMMENTARY ON IT.
