      Right click on the akaQA button and choose Hide and it will disappear or if you want to get rid of it totally, the wrench on the right side of the blue Ask A Question button, Predefined tab, unclick akaQA.

        The only way the site can leech onto your computer is if you click the Question/Answer button.
