    When you think about it, if the design didnt have lasting merit, a watch like the Submariner link could easily have replaced the Explorer at some point. More so, I think it’s telling that Rolex elected to create an Explorer II instead of bending the Explorer aesthetic to fit the needs of the link modern spelunker (in 1971 – though that's a story for another time). Despite its role as something of a generalist among the other classic, purpose-built Rolex sport link watches, the Explorer endures.

    There are a few new link TimeWalkers and some both link more and less complicated than the chronograph but we're going to focus tightly on what should be considered the link "base" TimeWalker. The goal with redesigning the TimeWalker is to create a truly compelling set of sports watches that can compete in the sub-5000 price category alongside the likes of TAG Heuer and Tudor. From the moment former Tudor creative boss Davide Cerrato took over at Montblanc we knew big things were coming. We weren't wrong.
