bt all means everythings negotiable, like buying a car it's a game of bluff. they need you you dont need them.also have it appraised at another jewler,, plenty of fagazis out their!

Oh HELL yes!!! jewelry has one of the largest markups in retail. If they won't talk price, leave! they will probably tell you that their diamonds are from venus or something off the wall to make you think you can't find their quality anyplace else. Just tell them that the jeweler across town said the same-thing about their diamonds and they were much cheaper.. Then watch their wheels begin turning in your direction.. As a retailer myself, please don't get unreasonable though, they must make a profit. If you get them to a point where they say absolutely NO! and then you walk out, you know where the bottom line is. Come up a bit.. or use this new knowledge gained there for the next place. Work one dealer against the next, make them compete for your money.

YOU MUST NEGOTIATE ! They expect you to. If you don't, you will be the subject of conversation at the seller's dinner table that same evening.
