Nene is correct "shingles" is one of the Herpes group closely related to chicken pox. They are very painful and not just for a couple of days or weeks. There have been incidents of discomfort up to 8 years after the inital infestation.
I personaly have had 3 attacks over 40 years. If you are lucky and your doctor diagnoses in the first 2---3 days there are tablets that knock it on the head, problem is misdiagnoses.
