some good answers here, i think. ty.
Have great difficulty in refraining from killing him, before following Colleen's advice... and WHEN did you come by a spouse?

If that was just a way of asking the question & the rest of what you said about this man is true, doesn't that make you believe his children are in danger, and so are you?

suliz is right, abuse always starts with animals and then works it's way into human beings.

he's not my spouse but I'm considered common law married because i've lived with him for 6 years. He is only my boyfriend but sometimes i'm told he's my spouse.

Call him what you like, honey. Just get rid of him. (If you take a look at your other question there's a debate between getting him drunk & pushing him down the steps & shooting him going on. Not good ideas... but you can see the way decent men have reacted. They're angry FOR you, not with you. Goodnight.
Contact the police, all towns in the US have laws against animal abuse. The punishments however vary from town to town. This is a police and animal control matter. They will both be involved and your spouse would have to appear at court to answer charges of animal cruelty which could be a monetary fine with orders to be around no animals or imprisonment. Contact your animal control warden for the list of laws pertaining to animal cruelty in your town.
If this discusting act has took place, the person in question is quite capable of murder, Actually he is a killer.Report him.
Suggest therapy. Then have it stuffed and put on the mantel.
Thats a pretty sick situation. If that actually happened to you you should probably get him to seek help and possibly call the cops so he's never allowed to own another animal again.
Depends on the state in which you live. It is legal in some states, Pennsylvania for one, for an owner to put down an animal.

it was because he was angry at the pet and he hit it with a pipe.

Killing an animal being legal doesn't turn the deed more honourable. The sickness of the human murdering an animal just because shines through and should worry those who live with him/her.
