      Oh my goodness, today anything from the 30's, 40's and 50's is called antique, even though we all know it's not, it's just old.

      I would really consider something from the late 1800's to be the latest date of a real antique, preferably earlier than that.

        100 years seems to be the most acceptable answer but the year can actually fluctuate when other variables are considered. This article explains it pretty good. http://www.oldandsold.com/articles03/article1257.shtml
