to 6dogs---most of them you mentioned are jews, just incidentally .
And John Lennon was NOT an atheist. He sang about Imagine there's no heaven,no God above us; and no religion too, no sky above and below us only sea.
Lennon never said God didn't exist. He said Imagine what it would be like if we had no God and no religion and no hell.
He apologized for saying " We're more popular than Jesus'' He said " he didn't mean they were any better than God or Jesus, who whomever''
And Paul McCartney is not an atheist ! Where so you get this stuff!? Make it up ? He was raised Catholic, as all the Beatles were. And McCartney sings about the Virgin Mary when he sings ''Mother Mary sings to me .....'' in the song.,.." Let it Be.
And as for Ron Reagan, you must mean Jr. b/c Ronald Reagan Sr. often refered to God and the Bible

This is why I include weblinks so I can't be the one accused of providing false information. She did not make it up mcm, she got it off the web. Copy/paste.
    nomdeplume

'Mother Mary' refers to John Lennon's mother not the BVM.

mycatsmom I do not make up information on this website, I copy and paste at the very least. The above is a link to the page I found this information. I am an honorable person, and for anyone including you that say that I am less than honorable is offensive and rude. Please do not say such a thing ever again. You are entitled to your own opinion on these matters, but it is not necessary to let your opinions become caustic.

Wikipedia is ammendable, if you believe your information is correct, then go into the site and makes changes to reflect your information.

Yes, a few others. Grit does have his fans. You need to stop fixating on me tami. You're looking like you have a problem eating away at you now.
    IluvJesus

You might not want to be on the internet if you feel someone would have the audacity to be fixated by the likes of you,you comment to who you please right?don't flatter yourself!

Just going by what I see and the fact you follow around after me to put in your little comments and lol's Please don't flatter me by following after me trying to make something out of what I say than is actually there . :)

Colleen,it's a fricking Q&A website, people post comments and replies, you aren't always going to agree with everybody's opinions,If I say something it's because I'm voicing my opinions, you always voice yours, are you the only one that can give snap back comments?
    Colleen

I will respond to you when your opinions are directed at me or about me. Where in any of what I said about Grit do you see a snap back opinion? Yet you chose to say something snarky here because you just plain don't like me. Fine, have your say but don't expect me to keep silent. You open the can every time Tami.
    IluvJesus

No that is not true not every time, you have made many comments to my posts, and who said I don't like you? It's just sometimes you come off a little mean or sarcastic to people,it just comes off one sided a lot to me,it has nothing to do with anything other than that, trust me I'm laid back, and open to many different personalities.

The only comments I can ever remember making to you have been in response to something you said to me, about me or about my beliefs. The only time I notice you is if you've said something to me and I get an alert that you've made a comment. Otherwise I don't even see you.
    IluvJesus

Well it's been 5 months, and the website has gone through many changes, sometimes I read more than I post, especially if the questions don't interest me.
Richard Dawkins. His best-seller 'The God Delusion' is a must read for anyone willing to look at both sides of issues.
    mycatsmom

Why should Dawkins be an authority on God ?
    digger

Why do you assume that he claims to be ? Are you ? If you choose to read his book, you'll learn that he does not pretend to know all the answers like many on the opposing side do. But I suspect that you will avoid Dawkins or any other atheist on the grounds that you will fear being seduced by an argument that is contrary to yours.
Stephen Hawkings ( Lucasian Professor of Mathematics at Cambridge, a position once held by Sir Isaac Newton). Sigmund Freud,Benjamin Franklin, Andrew Carnegie, QUOTE:. benjamin franklin really i knew he was a mason maybe the only atheist mason in history
Surely Ron Reagan was not an atheist, I thought he was a full-on creationist or at least believed in some sort of divine intervention in evolution.
It is surely impossible for anyone to progress politically in the US if they come out as an atheist.
Or is there another Ron Reagan?

    Ron Jr. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ron_Reagan
Reagan began going down a different philosophical and political path from his famous father at an early age. At 12, he became an atheist and told his parents that he wouldn't be going to church any more.[1]

Thank you Colleen. I believe that anyone who has any religious background has the ability to be President of the USA. Even an agnostic. This is the country where people came to have religious freedom isn't it?
    Colleen

Freedom of beliefs. An atheist should be able to be president also. Religion should not be a requirement to be pres.
    mycatsmom

Regarding Ron R. Jr.--- At 12, a child is not old enough to make those decisions and he doesn't know what the hell he's talking about. He hasn't made a study of God as seen thru all the eyes or the major religions.
Look at college freshmen ......they change their mind about their major about 5 times. Some even change their major half-way thru it. I did.
    mycatsmom

There's no religious freedom in this country---the U.S.

    "There's no religious freedom in this country---the U.S. "

    What???

There IS religious freedom here in the U.S.A. Maybe you meant some U.S. country I've never heard of. Everyone is free to believe in God any ol way they wish and free to NOT believe in God. When did you become our leader and take away this religious freedom? According to Ron Jr's PARENTS, he was old enough at 12 to make the decision. One that he's stuck with for his life. You think so highly of yourself that you can decide about his adult decisions too? You're just another over the top pushy Christian.

The day an atheist becomes president is the day the whole world will go to "Bleep".Then I know the world would be coming to an end,you might as well have Sadam or Osama rule. That's when I would rather already be dead.

"The day an atheist becomes president is the day the whole world will go to "Bleep"

Or the day religion is truly separated from Government as it should be. Imagine if I were president and brought my views into office. The path I follow is classified a region so going on your and mycatsmom's belief, the fact I believe there is a God and follow a classified religion, that makes someone like me eligible. You are free to make the choice of what to do with your life if that ever happens. :)

That's how I feel though, and that is how you feel.
Bertrand Russell, the author was one.
In 1976, an Ashkenazi Jew, Harold Rosenthal, aide to fellow
Ashkenazi Jew, Senator Jacob Javits, states,

'' Most Jews,do not like to admit it, but our god is Lucifer.''

Albert Pike, the founder of the Masons, said ''Lucifer is our God ''. That's something most Masons don't know about, b/c only the 33rd degree masons are told that.
Madilyn Murray O'Hare and her son. But they were both murdered.. Her other son, ironically has become a born again Christian
    IluvJesus

I guess the murder woke him up,that's a good ending.
    Thanks for that info Colleen.
Another US atheist is PZ Myers, his Pharyngula blog is worth reading.
