why are some womb cancers inoperable - is it because of the site of the tumour or because of the size?

Probably because they have metastasized too much (spread)……...

I had uterine ( endometrial cancer )  cancer in  ' 07 . They did a hysterectomy and chemo and radiation. It had not spread to my lymph nodes or anywhere else. My cousin had it too and even tho' it had spread to her ovary and lymph node, she survived it.......by the same treatment that I had. I know of one woman who they wouldn't do surgery on until she lost weight. Other than that, like  Jh said, the only reason they wouldn't operate would be if it spread to major organs.

May God be with you and your loved ones.
