The hours, minutes, and seconds link each rotate counterclockwise and are always read from the top of each ring. The hours are indicated at the outer link edge of the dial, where the trefoil shape points to the time. You can simply glance at this ring to garner an immediate general reading of the time. Minutes are present through a smaller aperture near 11 o'clock, with seconds turning on a yet link smaller, fully exposed ring at eight o'clock.
