Drive a couple of copper nails into the trunk.I will be dead in a couple of weeks.But don't get caught & don't say I told you because I will deny everything!:)

Under Australian law you are entitled to trim your neighbours tree, bushes etc to the side of the fence line on your side BUT BUT BUT you ar not allowed to reduce the height past the fence line.
The pieces you cut off belong to the neighbour and should or can be returned to her side of the fence, this may annoy your neighbour so I wouldn`t advise this course of action. Just trim on your side and dispose of cuttings.

Why not approach you neighbour, takes two to tango.
