Burn ban this year and fireworks cancelled. We can cook outside if we have a propane grill- no charcoal

No way! Many people have been burned, lost fingers, limbs, etc. even with seemingly safer fireworks. Of course this doesn't stop some people from breaking the law anyway. Every year I hear about someone getting injured.

Only the low grade ones. Roman candals and the good stuff is outlawed. But we are in the country and everyone does it anyway. Thankd God for the rain the past week.. Maybe my house wont butrn to the ground.

people here do it too but it is against the law. they usually go to indiana and buy them because its evidently not against the law there. ive seen people selling them here on the streets, illegally.

Do you happen to live anywhere close to Ft.Wayne? I lived there for a while in the 70s and recently found a picture of the old house I once lived in on Google Maps. I moved a few times while we lived there so I attended 4 different schools. One of these was Woodburne Elementry in Woodburne, Indiana and one of them(Sloakem elementry) no longer exists. I thought I would recognize them by the photos I found on the internet but none look familiar.

You can buy fireworks here in Ohio but you have to take them out of state (or you are suppose to)and let them off,funny law is'nt it? Tax $$$$$'s.So i think they are telling us,it's ok to blow a hand off,just pay the tax.I never understood that law,but it is what it is.Aside from all that Cleveland does put on a nice show every year on the lake front(lake Erie).Happy 4th everyone!!!

Not really, but people, mostly from Mass, always have fireworks on theire docks or beach. Everyone is doing it, so nobody reports it. It does not bother me at all, I love to watch.
