We use pulpits at school to teacher in front of the class.. The manufacter ones are kinda expincive.. Our husbands usually make ours.

They can advise all they like. I dont know of a military family that would take that advice. My family is heavily invested in the military. (we have many service men) And prayer is often itmes the only thing that keeps our boys going. I would love to se the artical if you can find it.

Some ppl use the terms interchangably.. well we do in the South. I hope someone else is not wanting to use this site as a pulpit.. It gets way out of control and leaves a sour taste in too many mouths.
Here in the north, pulpit is for church people and podiums are for all others and yes, that was my concern also when I first saw the question.

Are you talking about a place to spread the word of God in love, or are you just talking about a wooden or metal pulpit, in the physical meaning of the word?
I think if you are talking about a pulpit in the spiritual sense, it's where ever you are when the Holy Spirit moves you to speak to someone in love and not condemnation.

I hold Church in the middle of town on the sidewalk, walmart... that is one good thing about the bible belt... There are no funny looks when we pray before dinner in public either.

This is clearly violations of freedom of speech and freedom of religion. I can't believe the military is trying to control what people are allowed to say at funerals. It's disgusting and upsetting to me.
This is at funerals where clergy members are, religion is a important part of funerals for most people.
