Not everyone is emotionally ready for marriage regardless of age. Let him make the decision alone. You may compromise your relationship with him if you pry to far.

If your son is stuck in a dysfunctional marriage be glad he is getting out of it. I don't think he would consider divorce as an option if he saw possibilities of solving the matter. Nobody decides something like getting a divorce easily. If he thinks it is necessary, it is because he and probably also his wife are really getting hurt in this relationship.

If you are worried about your son committing an error, give him the advice you feel you should give him, but respect his position if he has already made up his mind in a different way.

Are there kids involved? I would suggest marraige conseling either way. If your income doesn't afford it, you can try your church pastor. That's why it is very important for a man & woman to have the same morals & beliefs before they get married. One may think divorce is an easy way out & be too lazy to work on it, while the partner may believe that marraige is a sacred vow before God that should be honored! KNOW YOUR POTENTIAL LIFE PARTNER VERY WELL BEFORE GETTING MARRIED! Coming from someone who is divorced & remarried.
