It would be almost impossible for any one to give a price without stripping the box too find out what needs doing. Could be anthing from simply replacing bearings to a total rebuild ,plus if you have the box out you are well advised to do the clutch while you are at it. Not much help I am sorry but thems the facts. The $400 rebuild kit I would imagine would not have much more that gaskets etc.
