    does a 400ud compressor need a reduced voltage starter

    Its a 400 hp 460 volt air compressor. I need to know if it needs a reduced voltage starter and if so what type?

        lol....then you'll have to type the name of the manufacturer. A better idea might be to call a professional electrician. 460 volts could kill you dead and smoking.
