If this is Manuka honey, it has definite benefits for skin problems. My late mother's leg ulcers were cured by using it.

Manuka honey is the medihoney and is produced in New Zealand where the bees only feed on the manuka flowers. It has high antibacterial properties.

The manuka bush of New Zeland is a close relation to the Australian melaleuca bush and both are commonly called tea trees.
Tea tree oil is also medicinal.
