The exact cause for this abnormality is not yet known but genetic and environmental reasons are considered as the main cause for it. Few women diagnosed with this condition had it because their mother or grand mother had it in their younger days. The other reason which was found for the same is that women take few tablets during their pregnancy period which can result in the development of them same.
