      Try using a perfume free laundry detergent for clothing or articles you want to store like that. It might be the detergent you use (if it's perfumed) souring while stored in the bag.

        Sometimes I use a dryer sheet on top of the item I am storing in the Space Bag. When I open up the bag it will smell like the dryer sheet.
